I wasn't on camera at all, but it was a GREAT show. My life is now complete. Unless you count the fact that I still need to meet Howard Stern. Anyways...

The highlight for me was during the opening monologue, Conan said something about Paula Abdul quitting American Idol, as the setup for a joke... but as soon as he said that first part, I started clapping. I got 3 full claps out before everyone (including Conan) started laughing and everyone started clapping and hooting too. Conan looked right at me, smiled and goes (paraphrasing) "well no punchline can live up to that response" which was funny.
Conan regained his composure and finished the joke, and everyone laughed again... but not as much. :D

No sooner did I cancel my season pass to Conan (getting perpetually less funny since October 2009), does this happen.

When Conan first moved up from 12:30 to 11:30, his show was exactly the same; hilariously awesome. The longer he's been hosting the Tonight Show, the more vanilla it's been. I'm sure higher-ups have been telling him to water things down, and be less outrageous, but the last 4 months of shows have been painfully bland. Still, he's 1000x better than Leno. Conan jokes as of late might make me just go :| but Leno "jokes" make me :braf:

Thank god for Jimmy Fallon

I tuned in last night to see if he had anything to say about this timeslot nonsense, and he was livid. He was so pissed off at NBC (rightfully so) and it was hilarious. Probably the funniest Conan has ever been since he took over the Tonight Show.

I'm adding Consey back to my TiVo schedule. I predict his final shows this month & next are going to be full of stupes as he goes out in a blaze of glory.

President Obama to Jay Leno:
"I am glad that the only person whose ratings fell more than mine is here tonight. Great to see you, Jay. I'm also glad that I'm speaking first -- because we've all seen what happens when somebody takes the time slot after Leno." Jay was seen laughing, turning red, and then standing up and saying to the people around him, "Goodnight, everybody."
