Vanished

Did anybody watch http://www.fox.com/vanished/ this last night?

I'm usually not into dramas in general, but I watched last night because they filmed it here in Atlanta, and I think i'm going to watch the series, it was really good.

Its a political conspiracy mystery type thing.

I also watched it, because I liked the premise, and because I grew up in the Atlanta area.

It was good enough for me to stick with it for the time being...

Too soapy for me. Too much like someone watched the successful one hour dramas on Fox of the past couple of years like 24 and Prison Break and tried to copy it into a mystery that I didn't really care about.
DLT Prom Queen 4 years running.

I'm frigging TIRED of serials. You know nothing significant is going to happen until the final hours...and its going to be intentionally drawn out and misleading.

Fuck 'em.

I haven't watched any others 24, lost, etc, so I'm not burned out on them. Its kind of a shitty time slot (during MNF) so I'll have to record

Okay, I still really like the show, but I'm getting tired of seeing locations that clearly aren't even close to being representative of Hotlanta.

This most recent one featured Stone Mountain as a key location, and they couldn't even bother to show us some stock aerial shots? Would it really have cost them that much to film the series in the ATL?

Last night also had a scene where they are standing in a field looking for a transmission site with the city skyline of LA in the background. They're not even trying that hard to pretend they're not in California, so why bother to set the show in the South?

Cancelled by FOX.

Replaced during November sweeps by Trading Spouses: Meet Your New Mommy.

Remaining 4 eps to be put up on MySpace of all places.

Toldja it was a waste to invest in serialized dramas ... especially on Fox.

It's not even on jumptheshark.com ...strange that they would cancel it, unless it just didn't get any viewership at all.
