Not that you're wrong about the Japanese, but Shanghai is in China, and the ad sounds like Chinese, too. Definitely not Japanese.
It is pretty effed up, though, isn't it?!

That reminds me of a study from first year Psych where a mouse was implanted with a device in its brain and was then placed in front of two buttons. One button activated its pleasure sensors in its brain and the other opened a little hatch and some food would fall down.
Every mouse starved to death.

The Terminal Man!
The blockbuster suspense thriller by Michael Crichton.
That study really did happen, though. Dr. Jimmy Olds back in the 60s I think. He was eventually able to pilot rats.

I don't have the exact study outside of old notes I took but this link has a bit on these types of experiments.

Some of the passengers could be heard applauding in response.
I guess they appealed to them for sympathy and everyone didn't have shit to do so they played along? That's a neat trick...a plane full of Muslims pretending to be hijacked so they can get the same air time for their protest but not spend the next 50 years in a Gulag. Too bad they're not getting the air time. I think more attention should be paid to this.

From imdb.com -
Grey's Anatomy star T.R. Knight has confirmed he is gay. The actor, who plays unassuming Dr. George O'Malley on the hit series, decided to go public after rumors began surfacing about his sexuality. Knight confirms to American publication People, "I guess there have been a few questions about my sexuality, and I'd like to quiet any unnecessary rumours that may be out there. While I prefer to keep my personal life private, I hope the fact that I'm gay isn't the most interesting part of me." Media reports have suggested that Knight was forced to make an official statement after details of a fight between co-stars Isaiah Washington and Patrick Dempsey became public. According to the National Enquirer, the two got into a fight while Filming the show last week and Washington allegedly yelled to Dempsey, "I'm not your little f****t like (name deleted)." The publication said they withheld printing the actual name of the co-star Washington mentioned "because of the extreme nature of the slur."
It didn't take a news article for me to know Grey's Anatomy is gay.
plus:
The Sixth Sense star Haley Joel Osment has pleaded no contest to two misdemeanor charges stemming from a car crash in July. The actor pleaded no contest to one count of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count of possession of marijuana, according to news website Tmz.com. Osment was sentenced to three years probation, 60 hours of alcohol rehab and three months of Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. He was fined $1,500. The actor almost lost his life when his 1995 Saturn smashed into a brick pillar and flipped onto its roof in a suburb of Los Angeles on July 20. He was treated for a broken rib and an injury to his shoulder in a nearby hospital.
Haley diggeth the sixth sense.
