TV NEWS

Post by Dex » 12 Nov 2010 11:42

Ok, I'm tired of putting news in other threads (i.e. New Fall Shows) when it doesn't really relate to the topic. So BOOM new ongoing topic.

Sticky this plz.

This is where all TV scoops and news will go. Feel free to comment on news, as well as provide it, if it hasn't been mentioned already. No huge spoilers please, but casting info, new shows, ratings, cancellations, renewals, etc are all good.

To start off with, we have some good news (at least for Smash and I)
HBO's smash has made its second major Season 4 hire: Dexter actress Courtney Ford is joining True Blood as a recurring. The actress — who ironically just completed a stint on another vampire drama, The CW's The Vampire Diaries — will play Portia Bellefleur, a classic Southern beauty who runs her own law practice. The character is the sister of Bon Temps' bumbling detective Andy (Chris Bauer). The news comes just days after Irish actress Fiona Shaw was cast in the series regular role of Marnie, a self-loathing medium who becomes possessed by a witch.

Lets all pray that she gets naked in True Blood as well :wub: here she is in Dexter from last season;

Those producers need to work on her nudity contract ASAP.

They'd both get it so bad they neighbours would be complaining of the smell.

doesn't really make a difference if she hasn't been on yet. nudity is nudity, and the ginger could be a disaster naked.

Not really news, but I am part of the TiVo Advisors research panel so they send me surveys once a month, and the new one started off with this paragraph;
Hello! Thank you for your continued participation!

Last month we asked for your thoughts about the new fall TV season. $h*! My Dad Says got the most votes for worst show of the 2010 season -- but it looks like the show's still going strong. You also deemed Boardwalk Empire the best new show this season, which tells me HBO should look for some more Emmys this year -- and that I should start watching all those Boardwalk Empire episodes sitting on my TiVo unit at home.
