WHAT REALLY GRINDS MY GEARS

Post by Dex » 26 Aug 2009 18:56

Yeah, that's stolen from Family Guy, but it's apt.
This thread is for things that piss you off, but are really stupid when you think about it.

For example...
I hate emo teen girls in public.

I know... I live in CA, so I should get used to it... but really. I see these emo trendy hipster girls, and it drives me insane.
I'm talking about these girls you see sitting around on a corner bench in a random city corner, probably texting a friend.
Here's a perfect example;

Obviously these girls take a shower. I'm not mentioning this to be sexual, but these girls get naked and take a shower. OK? So after a shower and a dry-off, they put on bra & panties. They put on a shirt and pants. They put on socks and shoes. They put on another shirt and scarf. They put on eyeliner and black nail polish. They put on blush and light lipliner. They put on shoes and grab a skateboard that they don't know how to ride. Then, after that 2 hour prep... they sit on some park bench and text their friend about how much they love the Jonas Brothers.
If I had $0.01 for every girl I see like this, then I would be a billionaire.

I FUCKING HATE EMO TEEN GIRLS.
But I would still stick my dick in their asses.

And that's what really grinds my gears.

Sounds like you've really thought this part through... <_<

Ditto - theres just something about them - prolly the raven hair or cut jeans that do it for me.

btw that gecko ad - at the end it shows other tubes you might be interested in watching and one caught my eye:

Is she hot or is it just me being weird? Never really listened to what she was saying really but thought it was pretty cute when she wrinkled her nose regarding her pet bird.?

What really grinds my gears is when people shorten my name - I've lived with my full name all my fucking life these people know me for like two seconds and they decide to half its size just for the hell of it - I end up shortening their name out of spite to something thats like two letters long or something. My wife calls me by my shortened name cos when she first fancied me that was the name her friends said I was and it stuck ever since and she has to correct herself cos she knows how much it pisses me off!! Gonna kill her friends for that one day..

I'm the opposite... probably because when people use my full name it reminds me of when my parents would use it when I was a kid - when I was in trouble. Uh oh... they said my full name. I must have done something wrong :?

You know what really grinds my gears?

When the guy in a porn scene is really loud. Or loud at all. Shut up, asshole, no one wants to hear your grunting and OH SHITs
Also, when the camera pans to the guys face for a wink or thumbs up. WTF. I don't need to see the stuntcock's face. :x

you know what really grinds my gears?

When someone starts talking about a movie/tv show/etc, and you go AHH I haven't seen it yet.
And then the first person goes "Oh... so you didn't know SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER?"
AHHH WHAT THE FUCK DID I JUST SAY?!

Neither do I; ATM?

That reminds me of something else - What really grinds my gears is when you queue up for something and its only when the person in front of you get to the front do they decide to work out why they are in the queue in the first place. IE waiting at the ATM - you're 10 people deep in the queue waiting for ages - and its only when the person in front of you get to the machine do they start digging out their card in their bag or start talking to their friend about how much money they should actually get out. Another example is when you're queuing for a KFC/McD's/etc and its only when they get to the counter do they start umming and uhing and staring at the huge menu board above the counter. By the time I get to the front of the queue I know word for word what I'm gonna ask for - I even recite it to myself in my head while I wait.

Nope never been a fan, but I'm completely de-sensitized to it in porn. Unlike Creepy Bob.

Im dont really notice it too much any more. Im usually just skipping around to the parts I want to see. I dont think Ive ever watched a movie from start to finish without skipping around a bunch.. I think I have commitment issues

You know what really grinds my gears? Internet pop-up ads.

Not the typical ones that come up regardless of your adblock/pop-up blocker. You know there's that one website or fileshare site that brings up ADULTFRIENDFINDER in a new window/tab. Big deal, hit close once or twice a week.

What I'm talking about are the pop-up ads that make it impossible to find the close button. Shouldn't that be against the law? I'm on a site reading something, and this little POS box comes crawling across the screen, and it's not even a pop-up... it's some sort of alien hybrid pop-up that is integrated into the website. You scroll up, down, left, right, and the pop-up stays in place, blocking your view. WHERE IS THE X AT?

I hate those fucking things. Skysports.com was a culprit for awhile but they seemed to have moved them to the top of the page so it doesn't interfere with your browsing.

tv.com does the same for me - keeps asking if I want to integrate my facebook account with my tv.com account - I've said no five times already surely they should put that in an sql field somewhere so I don't keep getting this popup!
