So I read the whole article, and I've got to say that I think the maid cafe is much creepier than the strip club. Perhaps, as the author alluded to, that's just my upbringing in American culture talking. Somehow, I think that men visiting strip clubs are operating under fewer illusions than men who visit maid cafes, but I could be wrong about that.
